One of Asia’s up-and-coming urban artists, Joel Tan a.k.a. Gentle Bones is bringing his mysterious vibe to Malaysia!

The 21-year-old singer will be crossing the causeway link to perform in KL this September as part of his upcoming tour to promote his latest single, ‘JU1Y’.

Tickets are available online starting today.
Gentle Bones collaborated with Singaporean producer MYRNE on this beautiful yet chilling electropop track.

“With ‘JU1Y’, we wanted to write something spontaneous and about something on both our minds at the time. This is about a girl in July – so here it is in August,” MYRNE said.

This song comes just a little over a year since Gentle Bones released his sophomore EP, ‘Geniuses & Thieves’. The EP is an artfully constructed record that not only showcases his talents as a singer and songwriter, but also his wide range of influences.

In his tunes, you can hear a bit of R&B and his vocals range from bluesy baritones to glossy falsettos. His main influences include Majid Jordan, The Weeknd, DVSN and Chet Faker.

He is also a huge fan of 90s pop icons like the Backstreet Boys and N’SYNC, whose sounds inspired his current EP in big ways.

Since starting his journey in music at 16 years of age with nothing but an acoustic guitar, the young artist has made huge waves in Asia and accomplished more than many musicians can even dream of in their careers.

Gentle Bones won the Hong Kong Asian-Pop Music Festival 2016 Supernova award, was featured in the inaugural ‘Forbes 30 under 30 Asia’ list, sold out two concerts at the Singapore Esplanade Concert Hall, to name a few.

Needless to say, Malaysians are in for a treat when he performs in KL. Ticket sales begin today, so get your tickets here now and get ready to be mesmerised this September!
