The Taylor Swift Eras Tour has been a phenomenon this year with 1 million people in queues online and Malaysians' wallets crying over the rates of Singapore's ticket prices. Now, the movie from the Eras Tour has arrived in Malaysia and with it, official Eras Tour merch, i.e., the tumblers.

Tickets for the merchandise and movie tickets (RM65 by the way) went on sale yesterday and it has been pandemonium for the two sites as people experienced buggy websites on both ends. At the time of writing both sites seem to have stabilised but one question remains: what's up with the tumblers?

GSC's double wall tumbler

To get the Taylor Swift the Eras Tour tumbler from GSC you can only buy it online at their Keepsake by GSC store or get it during checkout when you buy the movie tickets online. The situation is fluid so availability and how you buy it is still not finalised. The tumbler and popcorn combo is RM48 online.

We thought all the merchandise would be the same, but it turns out TGV had a different version of the merchandise.

TGV's (plastic?) tumbler

We have no idea if it's only plastic as information from TGV is not forthcoming, but we know that it's not available online and it is only available for walk-in purchase from November 3 and they do not sell the popcorn tin either. You can only get the tumbler for RM48 when you purchase it with a Royale Combo.

Which is the official one?

First of all, we don't know, but from what we manage to find overseas the plastic tumbler is available in movie theaters in the United Kingdom based on this TikTok user.

In the comments for this video, some of these tumblers don't come with pink straws so each region are getting different kinds of merch. As for the double wall tumblers, this TikTok user from Bangkok showed off theirs with matching popcorn box. It isn't tin like the one touted by GSC.

To bring this all together, let's take a look at what Taylor Switch was holding on her Instagram post to see which cup is the one to get.

Doesn't look double-walled to us... but it doesn't look like TGV's one either. This looks like a regular plastic cup.

All that said, dear TGV and GSC, can you please make the movie available on weekday mornings? Some of us have kids that we can't give away from for 3 hours during the weekend. Right, thanks. All the best getting your tumblers Swifties.
