It looks like there are a lot of rumours surrounding the upcoming ‘Spider-Man 3’ starring Tom Holland on the internet lately.

From Doctor Strange’s appearance to the return of an old villain – Electro, played by Jamie Foxx, everyday seems like Christmas for fans.

And now, for the crème de la crop of all rumours – the OG Spider-Man played by Tobey Maguire and his successor Andrew Garfield will reportedly return together on the big screen with Tom Holland.

The first ever friendly neigbourhood hero.
According to FandomWire, a source close to Sony has confirmed that both Maguire and Garfield have signed on to appear alongside Holland in ‘Spider-Man 3’.

The older Spider-Men will reportedly appear in the ending where they join forces with Holland to help him take out the bad guys.

Besides Electro, reports have surfaced that other ‘Spider-Man’ villains such as Kraven the Hunter, Scorpion, and the Green Goblin will also receive their own screen time in the third installation of the film.

If the three of them don't recreate this meme, fans will be pissed.
So if the rumours turn out to be true, fans can expect a multiverse based on the involvement of Doctor Strange and a Spider-verse with the trio appearing in one act taking out a group of villains ala ‘Avengers Endgame’ – exciting times!

The untitled third film of ‘Spider-Man’ has begun filming and is slated to release in December 2021.
