Deepika Padukone may not be as popular as Priyanka Chopra in Hollywood, but she certainly is making a lot more than her. The Bajirao Mastani star is now India’s highest-paid actress to date with a total net earnings of USD $10 million (RM40.39 million). Deepika made it to this year’s list partly thanks to her rewarding endorsement deals.

The Ukrainian actress and soon-to-be mother of two broke into the Hollywood scene through her iconic role in That 70’s Show which also starred her husband, Ashton Kutcher, as well as her role as Meg Griffin in Family Guy. The Gemfields jewelry ambassador made a cool USD $11 million (RM44.43 million).

#8 Julia Roberts

Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts may not be making big waves in the silver screen this year but her bank account shows otherwise. With big brands such as Lancôme backing her up, the actress managed to snag the number eight spot with USD $12 million (RM48.47 million).

#7 Amy Adams

Amy Adams revives her career this year through her role as Lois Lane in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The five-time Oscar nominee returns to the list after two years, with a total earnings of USD $13.5 million (RM54.53 million).

#6 Charlize Theron

The face of Dior J’Adore, Charlize Theron is rumoured to have received an upfront payment of a whopping USD $10 million for her supporting role in the Huntsman: Winter’s War. Last year, her role in Mad Max: Fury Road gained critical acclaim. The actress is reportedly to have earned USD $16.5 million (RM66.65 million) in 2016.

The actress, singer, and television producer frequently tops the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list and this year, she managed to make her mark by being placed fifth and being the only Chinese actress in Forbes’ Highest-Paid Actresses in the World list. The actress not only dominates the Chinese movie industry, but she has also ventured into foreign films such as her most recent one, X Men: Days of Future Past. She made USD $17 million (RM68.67 million).

#4 Jennifer Aniston

The Friends star paved her way through to the fourth spot with a total earnings of USD $21 million (RM84.82 million). She’ll appear in a list of movies this year such as Office Christmas Party and will lend her voice to an upcoming animated movie, Storks. Jen has also previously starred alongside Julia Roberts in Mother’s Day.

#3 Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Jo is one busy lady! She has four movies under her belt this year alone, and will star in the controversial role of Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell which is scheduled to premiere next year. Movies aside, Johansson also has a long list of endorsements to credit for her total earnings of USD $25 million (RM100.98 million) this year.

Melissa proves that it pays to be funny. The actress and comedian brought the Ghostbusters remake to life through her role of Dr. Abigail "Abby" Yates recently this year. When she’s not busy gracing TV or movie screens, the funny lady runs her own plus-size clothing line and designs for it. McCarthy also made it to this year’s Forbes Celebrity 100 list. The Gilmore Girls actress reportedly made USD $33 million (RM133.3 million).

#1 Jennifer Lawrence

All hail Queen Lawrence, it seems that the odds are in her favour again this year! The X-Men star profited from lucrative upfront fees and the success of the final Hunger Games installment. She also happens to be the youngest star on the list at 26 years of age. Her total earnings came up to a whopping USD $46 million (RM185.81 million). Congrats J-Law!
