Gather your winter coats and dragons, because another war is set to take place in Westeros.

‘Game of Thrones’ (GoT) fans, the iconic series may have ended back in May, but your dream of seeing them back on the small screen again could soon be fulfilled.

According to Entertainment Weekly, HBO has given the green light for a 10-episode ‘GoT’ prequel.

The prequel will be based on the Targaryen civil war and is aptly titled ‘House of the Dragon’.

Perhaps we'll get to learn more about the dragons in the prequel.
And to make things official, a poster was released for the prequel, with the fitting tagline “Fire Will Reign”.

“The Game of Thrones universe is so rich with stories,” says Casey Bloys, president, HBO programming.

“We look forward to exploring the origins of House Targaryen and the earlier days of Westeros.”

The events in the new series will eventually lead up to 'The Dance of the Dragons', a massive civil war in the Seven Kingdoms held between two rival branches of House Targaryen.

It is based on the book written by George R.R. Martin titled ‘Fire & Blood’.

Let's hope this won't get cancelled too.
No word yet on who will star in this prequel, but who knows maybe our favourite Targaryens from the old 'GoT' series will make an appearance?
