And now, she's bringing her crouching tiger, hidden dragon ways to a popular Netflix series.
Michelle Yeoh, the sword-elf
The streaming service has announced on Tuesday (6 July) that they've secured Yeoh for a role in 'The Witcher' series.Yeoh will be playing Scían, the very last of her nomadic tribe of sword-elves, in the series titled 'The Witcher: Blood Origin'.
According to Netflix, Scían is a master swordsman (swordswoman?), and when a chance presents itself to retrieve a stolen sacred sword, taken from her fallen tribe by nefarious means, she launches herself into a deadly quest that will change the outcome of the Continent.
Sounds pretty badass, which is right up Aunty Michelle's alley.
Not much is known about the series yet, but Netflix has revealed that 'Blood Origin' is a six-episode live action limited series and a prequel to the hit series 'The Witcher' starring former Superman, Henry Cavill.
'Blood Origin' takes place 1,200 years before the events of 'The Witcher', where we will see the creation of the first prototype Witcher, a beast hunter with supernatural abilities to battle monsters.
Netflix has also yet to announce the release date for 'The Witcher: Blood Origin', so we guess we'll just have to wait to catch Michelle Yeoh in action.
