It was Ghostbusters Day on June 8, the anniversary of the original movie's 1984 premiere. The 32-year-old movie was screened in 800 cinema screens across the United States, celebrating the franchise and building the hype for an upcoming reboot featuring an all-female cast.
Fans of the original movies were delighted when, on this special day, the old cast—Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts—were reunited in a selfie that includes Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, who will star in the reboot.
The new Ghostbusters movie is about a pair of authors who have written a book claiming that ghosts are real. Along with a nuclear engineer and a subway worker, the two team up to save the world from a powerful demon that can possess humans.I mean, c'mon, how can this picture NOT make you happy?
