How hard is it to form a K-pop band, you ask? Well, judging by this parody band's success, it's not that hard at all.

The band in question, Boys Generally Asian (or better known as BGA for short) - founded by popular YouTube star Ryan Higa - recently released a brand new song and it shot straight to number one on the iTunes K-pop chart!

The song, titled "Who's It Gonna Be", was released on 24 March and wasted no time climbing the charts.

After a quick check, we can confirm that they are still holding on to the number one spot for three days running, beating the likes of K-pop big boys Big Bang, BTS and TWICE:

In fact, the release of the group's new song also prompted their first ever single “똥싸야돼” (which roughly translates to "I Want To Take A Sh*t"), released back in 2016, to start climbing up the charts again, settling at #13.

That's pretty impressive for a group whose main goal was to make fun of themselves, huh?

Well, they might have started off as a joke, but they are pretty big now, judging by the success of their new song. When the group released "Who's It Gonna Be", Twitter blew up:

Describing themselves as "guys who can’t sing, dance or really speak Korean and try to start a K-Pop band", BGA is made up of popular YouTubers Ryan Higa, David Choi, Justin Chon, Philip Wang and Jun Sung Ahn.
