He may be a legendary actor, but that doesn't mean he won't get his hands dirty.
Legendary Hong Kong actor Chow Yun-fat had everyone going 'awww' when he was spotted by a random stranger clearing debris by the roadside on Wednesday.According to a report by HK website Apple Daily, a citizen reportedly spotted the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star picking up fallen tree branches on Waterloo Road in Kowloon, shortly after Typhoon Hato wreaked havoc in the city.
The star-struck citizen even managed to pose for a picture with the 62-year-old actor and uploaded the picture onto his Instagram account:
Chow later told the website that he was driving home when he saw the fallen tree branches blocking traffic.
“There were these fallen trees blocking the road. I got out of the car and picked them up so that people could use the roads again,” he was quoted as saying.
Typhoon Hato is one of the worst storms to hit Hong Kong in recent years. According to a report by CNN, the Hong Kong Observatory recorded winds as fast as 77 kilometers per hour with maximum gusts of 127 kilometers per hour.
The HK Observatory also reportedly declared a Signal 10 Tropical Cyclone Warning early Wednesday morning - the highest-level storm alert.
