1. Museum of Broken Relationships, Croatia

The Museum of Broken Relationships was the brainchild of Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić, who were exes. The museum first opened its doors in 2010.
True to its name, this museum in Zagreb, Croatia, includes more than 4,000 objects that remind visitors of a broken relationship.
You can find items like an axe with a description that reads, ‘used to chop up an ex-boyfriend's furniture,’ a lint from an ex-boyfriend's belly button to a tiny bottle filled with a woman's tears. All the items displayed were donated by people anonymously from around the world.

2. Sulabh International Museum of Toilets, India

Located in New Delhi, India, this museum houses a rare collection that details the historical evolution of toilets.
It was founded in 1992 by Dr Bindeshwar Pathak, a Stockholm Water Prize winner. TIME magazine recognised this museum for its unique concept. Oh, and did we mention it's a free museum?

3. Cancun Underwater Museum, Mexico

Perhaps the only museum in the world that lets you look around while wearing swimsuits, this museum boasts over 500 life-size sculptures. The sculptures provide intriguing underwater visuals and serve as an ecosystem for underwater life.
You can visit this museum in Cancun, Mexico, by snorkeling or scuba diving. If you can't swim, don't fret—they also offer glass boat tours.

6. Hair Museum Of Avanos, Turkey

Cappadocia is more than just a scenic tourist spot where you can take photos of idyllic sunrises or sunsets while riding hot air balloons. It's also home to one of the most bizarre museums in the world.
The Hair Museum of Avanos was founded by a potter named Chez Galip in the basement of his pottery shop. Up to 16,000 samples of women's hair drape the ceiling, walls and furniture of the place which were donated by visitors, and you can read the small tag to see where they came from.

7. Sirijaj Medical Museum, Thailand

Probably not the best place to visit if you're of the faint-hearted, this museum in Thailand is dubbed ‘Museum of Death’ for obvious reasons.
This facility features preserved human specimens, most of which have genetic disorders, and human specimens in various manners of dissection. It's also the home for the body of Thailand's first serial killer and infamous cannibal, Si Ouey.

8. Meguro Parasitological Museum, Japan

A brainchild of a medical doctor, Satoru Kamegai, this museum boasts a huge collection of more than 60,000 parasitic specimens.
This two-story facility also has free WiFi, multilingual text guides, and educational movies for visitors to learn about tiny microorganisms. Bonus point: it's a free-entry museum!

9. Condom Museum, Thailand

Another museum is located in Thailand. Like its name, the Condom Museum features various art made from condoms.
You can find informational suites on condom manufacturing and the evolution of condoms throughout the eras. There’s even a demonstration room that tests the durability and stretchiness of condoms.

10. Museum of Holy Souls in Purgatory, Italy

Located just a stone’s throw from the Vatican, this one-room museum is dedicated to souls in purgatory. It's filled with artifacts allegedly signed or stamped by souls crying out for help from purgatory.
