With hotel prices in Malaysia expected to increase by 30%-50% due to the SST increment, going for staycations might prove too costly soon. If you can’t afford to go to hotels, why not bring hotels to you? According to X user @qistinaajefi, you can do this by turning your own toilet at home into one which looks like it came out of an atas establishment.

1. U-Shaped rail & shower curtain

Instead of cheap plastic shower curtains and rails, you can opt for U-shaped rails if your bathroom can fit a 200cm partition. We’d say go for gold to make it extra luxe.

2. Glass partition

Instead of shower curtains, you can also opt for tempered glass partitions if you have an additional budget to spare. You can get the size customised according to your bathroom space and choose if you want one sliding door or two. Note: you’ll probably need to enlist a handyman to get it installed though.

3.Stick-on wallpaper

Instead of plain boring white tiles, you can achieve a marble effect for your bathroom walls without the high price point. This wallpaper which is easy to stick and cut claims to be antifungal, anti-stains, easy to remove, fire retardant and water repellent. 4.Basin stand & mirror set

This acts as the centrepiece for any bathroom and the mirror actually helps to make the place look bigger.
