While it’s always exciting to try new food, there’s something deeply satisfying about enjoying familiar flavours at the table.
For the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, Hilton Garden Inn Puchong shines the spotlight on well-loved Malaysian dishes, offering a generous spread inspired by flavours many of us grew up with.
Great selections that feel like home-cooked meals
The buffet features a rotating selection of well-known and beloved Malaysian dishes. One of the standouts is the Daging Masak Hitam Sarawak. The tender beef, cooked in a bold and aromatic gravy with a subtle hint of spice, is so comforting that it might just tempt you to go back for seconds. Pairing it with the Nasi Daging Air Asam elevates the dish even further.

No Ramadan buffet is complete without a Kambing Bakar or Kambing Golek, and Hilton Garden Inn Puchong delivers with its Kambing Panggang Percik. The lamb is smoky, succulent and packed with flavour, making it a crowd favourite.

Another dish worthy of a shout-out is the Udang Masak Diraja, featuring plump, sweet prawns simmered in a rich and creamy gravy. Meanwhile, the Siput Sedut Masak Lemak Cili Api offers a satisfying spicy kick for those craving something fiery after a long day of fasting.

The buffet spread also includes a DIY noodle station, where guests can choose between comforting Curry Noodles or a hearty Bihun Sup Daging Tetel.

For those who prefer something lighter to enjoy alongside heavier dishes, the Goreng-Goreng Counter offers favourites such as Goreng Pisang, Keropok Lekor, and Keladi Goreng.

Dim sum, satays & fragrant Sup Mamak
At the outdoor station, the buffet features small warungs offering a variety of dishes.
One of the highlights is the Warung Dim Sum, serving two options — chicken and prawn dim sum.

However, the dish that truly surprised us was the Sup Mamak. The soup is rich and hearty, and guests can customise it with their choice of meats, including chicken, beef, lamb, and even oxtail. Pair it with Nasi Impit for a filling and deeply satisfying meal.

The outdoor warungs also feature other Ramadan classics such as Beef and Chicken Satay, Murtabak, and Roti John.

Staying true to its authentically Malaysian theme, Hilton Garden Inn Puchong also offers a variety of traditional Malaysian kuih that many will find nostalgic.
Among the selections are seri muka, bahulu, kuih koci, and kuih loyang, classics that strike a familiar chord for many Malaysians.
