Couple Takes Their Love of Aviation to New Heights With a Wedding Featuring Check-In Counters & Baggage Claim

Weddings come in all shapes and themes these days. While some couples opt for classic styles such as Nusantara batik or an elegant all-white colour palette, others choose themes that reflect their personalities, interests, or even how they first met. After all, it is one of the biggest days of their lives, so why not make it uniquely theirs?

For one Malaysian couple, their special day became even more memorable with an unexpected aviation-themed twist.

In a video shared on TikTok, the wedding featured many of the elements you would typically find at an airport before boarding a flight, from a check-in counter to a baggage claim area. The venue even included a mock security gate that guests could pass through before entering the main hall.

Based on comments on the video, the check-in counter served as a station where guests could view their seating arrangements. Meanwhile, the baggage claim area was used to distribute door gifts. Staying true to the theme, guests received aviation-inspired goodies packed in small amenity kit-style bags.

Of course, no aviation-themed wedding would be complete without an aeroplane. The couple took things a step further by incorporating a half-plane replica that served as the archway leading into the main hall.

According to the video, the wedding is believed to have taken place in 2024, around two years ago.

Unsurprisingly, many social media users were impressed by the creative concept. Some even speculated that both the bride and groom worked in the aviation industry due to the level of detail incorporated throughout the event.
