Coming from an Asian family, we were taught to support our parents when we are old enough to do so.

While most of us would give our parents spending money every month, a woman has decided to give her mother a birthday she'll never forget.

A gift to remember

What a filial daughter.
A woman from Sabah managed to save RM3,000 from her job working at a family-owned stall in Tawau, but she decided to present her entire savings to her mother.

According to a report by mStar, Nurhazreen Md Ris decided to surprise her mother on her 54th birthday in the form of a cash bouquet.

“This is how much I am able to give her, who knows if I’m able to earn more next year, I’ll give her a bigger gift.

“Although the sacrifices of a mother cannot be repaid by money, the amount that I gave her on her birthday has put a huge smile on her face,” Nurhazreen was quoted as saying.

What a lovely gift.
The 27-year-old told the news portal that she only started saving her money from January this year, and she was ecstatic that she managed to hit her goal.

She added that there’s no special reason for the surprise gift, as she has always wanted to give money to her mother since last year.

Her mother, who was really surprised by the gift, reportedly broke into tears when presented with the bouquet.

We would, too, if someone gives us so much money.
