The world is a strange but wonderful place.

Thanks to websites such as Google Earth, you can explore every corner of the earth, and if you spend a long enough time, you're bound to find something interesting.

Or downright creepy.

Is that a demon?

Look closely.
Users of Google Earth have been creeped out by a sighting of a creepy figure under a bridge in New York.

We don't know who had so much time to look under a random bridge, but the discovery was made after a random and obviously very curious citizen decided to zoom in on a highway bridge.

According to a report by The Sun UK, the scary figure was spotted in a popular spot in Ithaca, New York, under a highway bridge along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail.

When you zoom in on the picture, you'll notice a creepy figure or a ghostly face in a mask staring back at you:

Hello, are you a ghost?
TikTok user 'Hidden on Google Earth' shared the creepy video on the platform and it ended up going viral, spooking some netizens in the process.

There were netizens who compared the spooky figure to Pennywise the Clown from the horror film 'It'.

"I'm never ever walking under a bridge again without thinking there's a murderous clown lurking around, thanks for that," a commenter wrote in the video.

"Well now I know where I don't want to go," another user wrote.

However, there were those who found the image hard to believe.

Some opined that it was just a graffiti (which, to be honest, is the likeliest explanation) or part of the bridge's structure.

"That's Ithaca, NY. Cornell and Ithaca College are there. Probably just a student prank,” wrote another.

"Dude THAT'S LITERALLY PART OF THE BRIDGE THOSE EYES ARE BOLTS,” another TikTok user said.
