Since half of the world is battling the Covid-19 pandemic, getting swabbed and later receiving the result has somewhat become a norm.

While most of us who received the printed result may keep it for future references, some throw it away.

One such thrown test result paper somehow landed in the hands of an Indonesian street vendor who sells fried fritters or gorengan.

He wasted no time in wrapping up his fried delicacies in the test result paper.

Oh no!

Ever heard of data protection, mate?

Info Depok uploaded a photo of the discarded test result which gained more than 8,000 likes.

If using the test result to wrap the food was bad enough, read this.

The test result stated in the greasy paper was positive.

“We just bought gorengan, and they were packed in a used document of a PCR swab test result that declared someone testing positive for the coronavirus. We ate the gorengan with apprehension and enjoyment,” read the caption of the photo.

While local authorities had confirmed that there was no risk of someone getting infected because they touched the paper, netizens were still concerned about the information on the paper.

Netizens commenting on the photo raised the issue of private information being leaked.

This incident had many Indonesians joking around, while others were worried about how their private information could be easily leaked.

“I’m more worried about the data disclosed in that document rather than fear of getting infected with COVID-19,” said one netizen.

“It’s better to set fire or shred our test results before throwing it away. Don’t toss it straightaway,” said another.

We couldn’t agree more!
