A man in Japan recently found himself in the receiving end of one of his wife's wrath, and she let her food do the talking.

A sweet ending

The man, who goes by @JZX90Masaya on Twitter, recently shared a couple of photos of his lunchbox on his social media account.

He wrote that he got into an argument with his wife the day before, and as a result, he only got a chunk of plain white rice and some pickled vegetables for lunch.

Not just that, the wife also added strips of seaweed on top of the rice that spelled ‘sh*t’ in the Japanese language.

"I got into a fight with my wife yesterday. This is my lunch today. That's all for today,” the man wrote.

How unappetising, right?

Netizens sympathised with the poor man, with another Twitter user sharing that he, too, suffered the same predicament when he got in a fight with his mother.

As he started shovelling plain white rice into his mouth, probably regretting making his wife angry, @JZX90Masaya discovered a sweet surprise: his wife had actually hidden stips of meat underneath the pile of rice.
