It's the year 2020, and more and more authorities are turning to high tech devices to combat the rise of COVID-19 cases:

And KTM Berhad is the latest to use high-tech gadgets to combat the pandemic.

Beware, people with fever!

Such a cool tech, no?
On Monday (12 October), KTMB announced that they've started equipping their auxiliary police with a high-tech helmet.

What do the helmets do, you ask?

Well, the members of the auxiliary police who are patrolling the KTM stations can use the helmet to detect and identify commuters who display symptoms of the coronavirus, such as high body temperature.

Sounds very Robocop, right?

KTMB says that they are still testing out the temperature-scanning helmets to evaluate its effectiveness, but they hope they could implement the initiative on a bigger scale soon.

On top of that, KTMB has assured commuters that they are occasionally sanitising their trains, as well as performing temperature checks at their stations.

Despite that, do remember to practise good hygiene and maintain physical distancing.
