Yup, that's right; one of the most popular online marketplace is letting you physically try and check out the products before buying them.

The Star Online reported that Alibaba Group has announced the opening of a new 5,000-sqf Taobao Store by Lumahgo.

The store, which is set to open inMyTown Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur, will reporedly begin operations on 29 November.

"The opening of our latest Taobao store demonstrates our commitment to local shoppers and brands, as we further localise services and experiences for the Malaysian market,” said Tmall World Malaysia marketing manager Jess Lew in a press release quoted by the news portal.

Among the things that you can shop for in the store include baby items, electronics, furniture, and beauty tools from both local and Chinese merchants.

The store will allow shoppers to select items by scanning a QR code and finalising the purchase through the Taobao app.

You can also purchase furniture.
Meanwhile, CEO of Lumahgo New Retail Sdn Bhd Fabian Kong said the onjective of the shop’s opening is to provide more touch points for consumers of all ages in Malaysia, especially those who are not familiar with online shopping.
