That was exactly what happened to a woman recently, when she accidentally threw away her jewellery worth RM70,000.
Luckily for her, she managed to retrieve it in time, after looking for it in piles of rubbish.
A video of the woman’s ordeal was posted on Facebook by user Idda Melisa.

In the video, the woman, with the help of a few rubbish collectors, was seen looking through piles of garbage using long sticks.
When she finally found a green box that contained her gold bangles, she smiled with relief.
“I’m just so thankful I found them,” she said.
The video has been viewed over 83,000 times to date.
Netizens were impressed that she could find her treasures despite poking around in the rubbish, while some shared her relief after she found her gold bangles.
