If you're a fan of sports, you've heard by now that football legend Lionel Messi has left the only club he's ever played for.

As you would expect, the farewell was an emotional one - and one man has decided to cash in on that.

One man's trash...

The tissue paper got some nose time.
An unnamed man is looking for a major payday by attempting to sell a piece of tissue paper used by the 34-year-old at his tearful press conference.

The former Barcelona striker held the press conference last week to announce that he's leaving the Spanish club after 21 very fruitful years.

As he started tearing up, his wife Antonella handed the emotional Messi a tissue to wipe off his tears.

That was when the anonymous man saw an opportunity to make some money off Messi's sadness.

That's a lot of money.
According to Complete Sports, the man, who was sitted at the front row of the same press conference, managed to scoop up the discarded tissue paper.

Later, he put up an advertisement on Meikeduo, an international e-commerce website, selling it for a price tag of USD1 million (RM4.24 million).

The report said the anonymous seller claimed that the tissue was expensive because it contains Messi’s "genetic material".

One can then used the genetic material to clone another football star like Messi, the seller added.

Well, we have no idea if any diehard Lionel Messi fan took up the man's offer, but the possibility of cloning eleven Lionel Messis to form an all-star football team? USD1 million is a steal, if you ask us.

JDT, you want or not?
