Imagine the pain of planning your wedding reception to perfection for months only to have it ruined by a natural disaster on the big day.

This was exactly what happened to a pair of newlyweds from Klang.

Such a noble act

According to a report by Malay Mail, the couple planned their wedding reception for 300 guests on 19 December, but they were forced to cancel it after the recent flood disaster that hit the area.

Instead of letting the food go to waste, 23-year-old Muhammad Nabil Mohd Azimi and 25-year-old Nur Asyiqin Md Hamdan decided to donate the food from their wedding to flood victims at a flood relief centre in Meru, Klang.

In fact, both Muhammad Nabil and Nur Asyiqin spent the day there to help the volunteers to distribute the food.

A short video of their noble act was posted on social media site TikTok by their wedding caterer Erin Suhaimi.

“The wedding reception was cancelled so the couple held it at the Meru flood relief center in Klang.

“The couple is distributing food here, together with our catering team,” the caption read.
