Are you a fan of horror movie? Can't go to sleep at night without watching a horror movie?

Well, then this is the dream (nightmare?) job for you.

Looking for a 'heart rate analyst'

A finance company based in the United States is looking for someone who is willing to watch 13 horror movies in ten days.

And that individual won't be doing it for free; they are willing to pay the person just to watch the movies.

The pay is pretty good, at USD1,300 (RM5,400) - which is more than what the average Malaysian earns monthly!

Sounds too good to be true? Well, maybe, but there's a reason they're doing this.

Wear a Fitbit and watch horror flicks? We're in.
According to a report in LadBible, the company calledd FinanceBuzz wants to hire a 'Horror Movie Heart Rate Analyst', and the person's job is simple: wear a Fitbit while watching the movies.

The point is to monitor the person’s heartbeats to see if 'high-budget' films scare them as much as the 'low-budget' ones.

"In honour of the upcoming spooky season, we at FinanceBuzz are dying to know whether or not high-budget horror movies deliver stronger scares than low-budget ones.

"You'll help us discover whether or not a movie's budget impacts just how dread-inducing it can be by wearing a Fitbit to monitor your heart rate while you work your way through the list of 13 movies," the company wrote on their website.

Are you up for it?
Sounds pretty easy to do, right? The 13 movies that the person needs to watch between 9 October to 18 October are:

Here's another perk: the selected person doesn’t even have to fork out money to buy a Fitbit tracker as the company will provide the device, along with USD50 (RM208) to cover the rental costs of the movies.

Applications for the role must be submitted by 26 September 2021, but here's the bad news: it is only available to those who are based in the United States.

Boo! Just when we got our hopes up.

But hey, if you know a family or a friend who is based in the States, maybe you can let them know about this role. Who knows they might get it and if they're nice enough, they might buy you something nice with the pay.
