A local restaurant in Penang has decided to reward Malaysians who have gotten both doses of their vaccination with a free meal, Bernama reported.

If you've already received your doses of the vaccination, then head over to Sri Ananda Bahwan restaurant and claim their best-selling, signature Chicken Biryani meal - no questions asked!

The restaurant’s Group director, Veera Harikrishnan, told Bernama that the promotion is valid from 28 June to 14 July, between 11am to 2pm, at all its 13 outlets.

"For the past two days, since we ran this promotion, response from our customers has been overwhelming. We have distributed close to 500 packs of free meals so far and we will be doing this promotion from time to time.

"We hope this promotion will help encourage and incentivise the public to register for COVID-19 vaccination because according to government statistics, only about 76 per cent of Penangites have registered so far.

"There are still many others who have not registered through MySejahtera,” he was quoted as saying.

If you happen to be based in Penang and you've already received two doses of vaccination, we guess we know what you'll be having for lunch (or dinner).
