Thick and spicy curry dishes are usually eaten along with steamed Basmati rice or fluffy naan bread. However, Singaporean influencer Calvin Lee bafflingly decided to pair his chicken curry with…Nestlé’ Koko Krunch breakfast cereal.

In the video captioned “Let’s eat cereal with curry” he is seen pouring a bowl of chicken curry into another bowl filled with Koko Krunch. “Mix well” were his instructions.

“I have a good feeling about this!” the video’s onscreen text says. After a few chomps, Calvin appeared surprised by the taste and commented, “Nice leh” and went on to say, “The curry makes the cereal so much richer & flavourful compared to milk.”

“Sweet, savoury, spicy, & shiok way to start the day!” he ended, giving the unconventional dish a thumbs up.

Honestly, we felt queasy while even watching the video and comments poured in from users: “I hope you never get to sleep on the cold side of your pillow, I hope you always get your socks wet, I hope whenever it rains you forget your umbrella, I hope you get rejected by the next person you end up liking, I hope your ice always melts before you finish your drink making it mucky, I hope every single pigeon you see poops on you, and I hope that every single time you even think of Indian food you remember this comment,” a creative user said.

“You are a cereal killer,” one said. “Please stop, my dog saw this and start(ed) vomiting,” pleaded another.

“Asian kids after not becoming doctors or engineers,” said a particularly savage comment. “Adding this to my list..I only live once after all!” said an adventurous user.

Calvin has earned 1.5M likes on TikTok for his bizarre food combinations so far and boasts nearly 29k followers who are amused by his daring pairings.

This isn’t his most outlandish breakfast meal as he has also tried Koko Crunch with Coca-Cola and Milo cereal with Lao Gan Ma Chilli in Oil Sauce, a condiment. Other controversial combinations of Calvin’s include McDonald’s ice cream with Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa, a traditional cough syrup and kaya curry.

What do you think of the combinations? Personally, we’ve lost our appetite for dinner *barfs*.
