Photoshop and photo editing are something that a lot of people do nowadays, especially to photos uploaded on social media.

If done perfectly, very little gets noticed. If the editing job is bad, then all hell will break loose, at least, on the internet.

Similarly, an edited photo related to the flood situation in Thailand has gone wrong for poor editing.

If you guys have not heard already, the country is currently experiencing floods brought on by seasonal monsoon rains and Tropical Storm Dianmu where over 126,000 households in 30 different provinces have been affected.

According to a report in Mashable SEA, the water levels of the Chao Phraya River, have been rising as well, prompting authorities to release water from a dam further upstream.

While all these were happening, the country’s education ministry somehow became a laughing stock in the social media, after photo featuring Thai Deputy Education Minister Kanokwan Wilawan in knee-deep water in an unspecified location.

Oh my!

In the badly edited photo, Kanokwan image looked fake as if someone just cut and pasted it onto a background of flood. Closer inspection would reveal other editing error such as a black spot behind her right hand and a black outline along her arm.

There are more editing discrepancies in the photo as noted by many netizens and it became a topic of ridicule.

While the post itself had talked about Kanokwan’s concern for students and schools affected by the floods, netizens simply wouldn’t look past the badly edited photo, prompting an apology from the ministry.

“Administrators of the official Facebook page of the Education Ministry would like to apologize for the incident and would accept all suggestions and comments in order to improve our duty and operation," the ministry said in a statement.

The report said the ministry apparently wasn't aware of the choice of photo for the post.

Creative social media users couldn’t help editing the photo into something hilarious.

Why stop at knee-high water?

Leave it to netizens to do this!
