We Indulged in Inside Scoop’s Lokal Legends Range, Featuring Collabs with Beryl’s, Secret Recipe & Farm Fresh
Homegrown ice cream brand Inside Scoop recently launched its Lokal Legends range, which introduces limited-edition ice cream flavours in collaboration with beloved local household names Beryl’s, Secret Recipe, and Farm Fresh.
The range hopes to start Merdeka festivities on a sweet note by combining their well-loved ice cream with the best-selling products of these homegrown brands to highlight a uniquely Malaysian celebration of ingenuity and creativity.
The Lokal Legends range, available from August 12 until September 16, offers Malaysians a fresh way to enjoy their favourite treats while paying homage to familiar tastes.

Our thoughts
Inside Scoop sent us the Merdeka Party Pack, which came with three new flavours, so we got to try them out!
We first dug into Beryl’s Tiramisu Almond Chocolate, which sounded the most interesting. The Beryl’s signature tiramisu dark chocolate ice cream layered with decadent fudgy chocolate tasted very decadent and rich, while the honey-roasted almonds provided some heavenly crunch to each bite.
Image Credit: Inside ScoopNext was Farm Fresh’s Choco Malt, a chocolate malt ice cream topped with chocolate malt crumble. To be honest this was probably our least favourite out of the three as it tasted quite bland and left us with the jelak feeling after a couple of scoops.
Using a homegrown edition of a chocolate malt drink that evokes childhood nostalgia. It is topped with an additional chocolate malt crumble for an extra crunch.
Image Credit: Inside ScoopLast but certainly not least was the Secret Recipe’s Chocolate Indulgence flavour. This was our favourite of the three, combining rich chocolate sponge cake stirred in a decadent dark chocolate concoction with swirls of creamy custard ice cream. This wasn’t as chocolatey as the other two, which we loved!

The new flavours will be available at all Inside Scoop outlets across Malaysia throughout the Merdeka season until Malaysia Day on September 16, 2024.
