McDonald’s seasonal Prosperity Burgers that make a limited-time appearance during the Chinese New Year featival are loved by many.

The sad thing about that is, one must wait for at least a year to taste them again during the festive season.

Well, thanks to this one Malaysian, you can now make your very own Prosperity Burger at home, any time you like.

Make your own burger

A kind Facebook user by the name of Mohd Faiz Fitri Iberahim has shared the recipe for the popular burger.

The recipe, which was shared in the Facebook group Suami Masak Apa Hari Ini?, was posted way back in May 2020, but it has since now resurfaced...because people suddenly have a craving for it?

Anyway, according to Mohd Faiz, making your own Prosperity Burger is pretty simple; just follow the instructions provided below:

All the ingredients you need.

Things You Need:

What you need to do:

1) To prepare the buns, spread some butter on the buns and toast them

2) Next, shape the seasoned minced beef into patties and pan fry them until it's cooked

Make the patties look the part.
3) For the sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan and add some plain flour into it to thicken the mixture

4) Add a glass of water into the concoction and stir

You now have your sauce ready.
5) Next, add the red onions, coarse and powdered black pepper, oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce and salt to taste

6) Once the gravy has thickened, you can then dip the cooked patty into the sauce

It's looking like the real deal.
7) Put the finishing touches on your burger by placing the glazed patty atop a toasted bun, top it with thinly sliced yellow onions and finish of with the other bun

8) Pat yourself on the back, take a picture for the 'gram and enjoy your very own Prosperity Burger

Looks like it, probably tastes like it too.
There you have it, guys! You now do not have to wait a full calendar year to have the Prosperity Burger, all thanks to Mohd Faiz Fitri Iberahim.

And it seems that a lot of Malaysians love Mohd Faiz's recipe too, as his post has so far been shared more than 64,000 times on Facebook.
