At this point, we thought that this man who wanted to divorce his wife because she took off her make-up was the most absurd reason to file for a divorce we've ever heard.

Well, we thought wrong.

Underwear is the main culprit

A newly-married woman in Egypt is filing a divorce from her husband just because he wouldn't want to put on pants at home.

According to a report by Gulf News, the woman is seeking divorce after just two months of marriage because her husband has been walking around their home in just his underwear.

She had apparently asked him to understand her feelings and ‘uphold his dignity’, but he refused to listen.

“I kept asking him that I need more time to get used to him in his underwear and to overcome my shyness, but to no avail,” she was quoted as saying.

Her husband defended his action, saying that he doesn't see anything wrong with his action because he is in his own home and he can be comfortable by wearing minimum clothes.

They then came up with a compromise: the woman would stay at her parents’ place for the time being so that they have time to rethink and decide on their next steps.

“I went to my family’s house waiting for him to call or ask about me, but he never did.

“His carelessness about my feelings prompted me to file a divorce case with the family court,” she added.

We wonder what the judge thinks about this.
