Happy Mid Autumn Festival!

It is that time of the year again to enjoy a couple more cheat days than usual because almost everyone and their mother are showing off their mooncakes.

As we all know, besides playing with colourful lanterns and admiring the brightest full moon of the year -- which may seem like a bad idea this time around, you know, with the haze and all -- mooncakes are the next best thing to come from this Chinese festival.

What colour is your favourite?
This year, for the first time ever, Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur is also selling mooncakes. And the best part is that this selection of mooncakes are all halal.

The mooncakes come in eight flavours, including the traditional ones like lotus paste with single yolk, red bean, black sesame, and more.

All flavours have been personally hand-picked by Chef Chye, and made exclusively at the Royale Chulan Skaters Restaurant's own factory.

"We focus more on using quality lotus seed to produce lotus paste that is more fragrant and tasty," Chef Chye shared.

Since the mooncakes are made at the hotel restaurant's factory, hygiene and quality are guaranteed.

Skaters Restaurant, which belongs to Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur, has been in operation for over a year. It is actually a halal Chinese restaurant that specialises in traditional dim sum dishes.

Over the years, Malaysians have become more acceptable towards consuming mooncakes. Hence why there is now a wider variety of halal mooncakes for people of different walks of life to enjoy.

Many customers have found that Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur's mooncakes are not too sweet, making it more enjoyable.

So if you're still looking for a good selection of mooncakes to try, give these mooncakes a shot. The price ranges between RM22 and RM28, and RM88 for one box consisting of four mooncakes.
