6yo Girl Passes Away After Getting Trapped Between Folding Table
A six-year-old child died after she got trapped in the legs of a foldable table in Nibong Tebal, Penang.
During the incident, the victim, Nur Aqifah Humaira Abdullah, was reportedly playing by herself behind her family's rented house. Her mother and siblings, aged 9 and 10, were inside the house.
The incident was only realised when they did not hear the victim making any noise and went to check on her.

It was then that they discovered her unconscious and immediately took her to Hospital Parit Buntar, where she was later pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
Nur Aqifah's mother, Riana Firiasih Kusnan, 38, said her daughter is a very active kid and loves to play in an extreme way, despite being told against it.
“She (Nur Aqifah) is different compared to her other siblings. She loves to play until she endangers herself. It doesn’t matter how many times you tell her to stop, she will keep doing it,” said her mother in an interview with Sinar Harian.

Meanwhile, Penang police chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad confirmed the incident and said the case was being probed under Section 31(1) of the Child Act for neglect and exposing a child to injury.
