Nairobi, Kenya’s capital city is an animal and nature lover’s paradise. The city is often used as a jumping-off point for safari trips elsewhere in Kenya. It is also home to Nairobi National Park, a large game reserve known for breeding endangered black rhinos and home to giraffes, zebras, and lions. Starting 15 November, jet-setters will be able to fly directly from Kuala Lumpur to Africa using AirAsia X, the first and only Malaysian low-cost air carrier to offer this route.
It also marks AirAsia X’s first Africa route ever. 156,000 travellers are anticipated to travel annually on this route, which will strengthen ties and boost the tourism sectors in both Malaysia and Kenya. In March this year, AAX also introduced new flights to Almaty in Kazakhstan, which marks its debut entry into Central Asia.
AirAsia X will also offer a seamless Fly-Thru connection, creating a vital link between Kenya and 130 destinations across Southeast Asia, Northern and Central Asia, and Australia providing affordable and convenient travel options. The flight schedule between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Nairobi (NBO) is as follows with four weekly flights:
