Alleged Repeat Dine-and-Dash Offender Tries to Flee Semenyih Restaurant After Eating RM242 Worth of Food
A local man was recently caught trying to flee a restaurant without paying the bill.
According to a Facebook post, the incident occurred on July 9 at a restaurant in Semenyih. It is understood that the man arrived during dinner and ordered several items.

According to the bill, the man ordered a serving of curry seafood pot (RM38), Kung Pao-style stir-fried frog (RM42), a bowl of rice (RM1.80), three bottles of Heineken (RM72), and Kam Heong stir-fried mud crab (RM88), bringing the total to RM241.80.
When it came time to pay, the man reportedly attempted to leave the restaurant but was immediately caught by the staff, who then contacted the police.
Apparently, it’s not his first time
In a report by Sin Chew Daily, the restaurant owner alleged that the man was a repeat dine-and-dash offender.
According to the owner, the man would use the same tactic each time: he would order food, claim he was waiting for a friend, eat, and then skip out on the bill.

When the police arrived, they managed to contact his ex-wife, who revealed that the man had cut all ties with his family.
Not wanting to prolong the issue, the man eventually called a friend from the police station, who helped settle the bill. As a result, the charges against him were dropped.
