We recently reported that our former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has quarantined himself after coming into close contact with a member of parliament who tested positive for COVID-19.

Luckily, Dr M has tested negative for the virus, after he went for a test on 17 March, The Star Online reported.

Still under quarantine

However, being a responsible person and a doctor himself, he is still observing a 14-day quarantine at his home.

“The test came out negative. He has been cleared.

“However, he will still follow the protocol of observing the 14-days quarantine,” his close aide told the news portal.

Tun is in the clear.
Dr Mahathir reportedly came into close contact with Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen, who is currently being treated at the Sarawak General Hospital for Covid-19.
