Bintulu MP Says Health DG "Takut Mati", Didn't Visit Sabah Frontliners. Netizens Come To DG's Defense.
We all know that if anyone deserve criticism for not doing enough this pandemic season, it'll be our wonderful politicians, including the ministers.
But one politician had the audacity to criticise Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, saying the latter "takut mati" and haven't visited the frontliners in Sabah to give moral support.
His comment was met with anger
Of course, no one should be exempted from criticism but the comments should be fair.In this case, many, including Members of Parliament who were in the august house when Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing made the statement, didn't agree with him.
Tiong has since defended himself, saying that the opinion was not his, but that of frontliners. He was just passing the message.
Here's a clip of what he said share on Twitter:

Dr Noor Hisham also responded to Tiong, denying that he was afraid of death or neglected his duties.
"There is no issue of being afraid of death. As Muslims, we accept that death can happen anywhere, not just when we go to the ground," he said at a daily press conference on the development of COVID-19.
He also said that he had directed his deputy, Datuk Dr Chong Chee Kheong, to visit Sabah last week, and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on Public Health Tan Sri Dr Jemilah Mahmood had also met frontliners in Sabah two weeks ago.

Many defended Dr Noor Hisham, saying that he's been doing his job.

Fair question. We wonder if anyone will address the questions raised by Malaysians.
