Jumped into action

The abang-abang polis did not hesitate to help.
Two abang polis were hailed as heroes for risking their lives to save a family of three from being swept away by strong currents.

According to New Straits Times, the incident happened at 3.15pm on Sunday when the three family members consisting of a couple and their child found themselves stuck in the Klang River following heavy rain.

They were reportedly on a fishing trip at the river when the currents became too strong.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department (TEID) chief Assistant Commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh told the daily that two police officers from the Kuala Lumpur TEID rushed to the scene to provide assistance.


Lance Corporal Hafizul Khalis Anuar and Constable Wan Muhammad Hazleeshah Wan Hasbullah immediately jumped into action.

Clinging to the iron bar, the brave police officers managed to rescue all three victims.

Thankfully, all three family members and the two brave abang polis did not sustain any injuries.

A video of the daring rescue went viral on social media, with netizens hailing the two police officers as heroes for risking their lives to save the victims.
