It looks like there's no end to the news making Malaysians angry lately.

The latest in anger-inducing reports is that of Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Khairuddin Aman Razali's quarantine breach being classified as "No Further Action" (NFA) by the Attorney-General office.

Bukit Aman CID chief Huzir Mohamed said that the decision was made as the minister was not ordered to undergo quarantine.

"NFA because information shows that YB minister was not given 14b under Section 15(1) Act 342," he said during a press conference.

He added that there was no strong evidence to take any action or charge the minister under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.

Eh, we thought EVERYONE had to go through quarantine after returning from overseas especially in July when the minister returned from Turkey? Are we wrong?

Since then, the people have been calling for stern action against Khairuddin.

After the public outcry, he was issued a summon of RM1,000 by the Health Ministry but people were not happy as he also attended events and put the lives of many in danger.

Netizens are furious, calling it double standard

People have been calling out the government for practicing "double standards" when it comes to implementation of SOPs, as well as action taken against those who breach them.

We can trace the beginning of the outcry to Khairuddin's case and it has just gotten louder since then.

However, the powers to be seem to be unfazed and stand by their statement that there are no double standards in this country.

Netizen, as usual, are not buying it.

What do you guys think? Do you agree that no double standards were practiced with this case?
