The Laurent Bleu Medical Clinic, which is located at the CMC Centre in Taman Connaught, is offering the COVID-19 antigen rapid tests for just RM60.
According to Malay Mail, the affordable testing is part of the clinic’s corporate social responsibility effort.
Natasha Ng, the clinic's chief executive officer, told the news portal that they want to help flatten the curve by providing cheap COVID-19 testing for those who can't afford it.
“Ideally, our effort is to make this screening accessible to all and essentially flatten the curve,” Ng was quoted as saying in the report.
Most private healthcare clinics usually charge between RM120 to RM180 for the antigen rapid tests.
Ng added that as the Social Security Organisation (Sosco) subsidises RM60 for each test, so employers who choose the clinic to conduct the test can claim 100 per cent of the cost.
