China’s vaccine to combat the coronavirus is ready, and the country has put it on display for the first time since the pandemic started.

Is this it?

AFP-Relaxnews reported that the vaccine produced by Chinese companies Sinovac Biotech and Sinopharm has not been released into the market yet pending approvals.

Promisingly, a Sinovac representative told AFP that the firm is ready with a vaccine factory that is able to produce 300 million doses a year.

A vaccine for everyone soon?

The report said the vaccines are among 10 developed around the world that has entered phase three of the trial stage.

Phase three is basically the last step before getting regulatory approval from the authorities.

Ready to be distributed.

As for how much we have to fork out for the vaccine, the manufacturers say two doses will cost below 1,000 yuan (RM606).

Currently, 5.7 billion doses of the vaccines have already been pre-ordered.

Fingers crossed, this is the answer that we've all been waiting for.
