The upcoming general election is no doubt the only thing that everyone is talking about these days, especially since the polling date was announced last week.

We've been seeing flag after flag displayed along the streets and hearing speech after speech by politicians who are trying to win the rakyat's hearts.

The heat is definitely on.

But amidst all the political debate, the last thing we expected to see is a line of election-themed headscarves. And apparently, the people love them!

Chenta Watie Scarf launched the special edition scarves called the Tudung PRU in March with prints of the eight Malaysian parties' logos, including Barisan National, UMNO, Parti Keadilan Rakyat, PAS and Parti Amanah Negara.

They're so colourful it's almost fashionable.
The scarves hit 1,000 pre-prders when it was first launched and within a month, the brand has already sold 7,000 pieces, as reported by Bernama.

This brand of headscarves was founded by 38-year-old Irdawati Samsudin in 2013. They finally found their niche after releasing special edition scarves for National Day last year.

Let's see if the general election scarves will reach 10,000 in sales before 9 May! But one thing is for sure, don't wear them on polling day.
