Did Health DG Dr Noor Hisham Just Hint At Another Movement Control Order (MCO)?
Things aren't look too good on the COVID-19 front, as Malaysia recorded a worrying 260 new cases on Thursday (1 October). And it seems like we could be in for another lengthy spell of staying at home.

Cryptic tweet

Did Dr Noor Hisham just hinted at another MCO? Health Director General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah sparked a huge debate online when he hinted at the possible reinmplementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
The 57-year-old was responding to another tweet by Twitter user @domcw, who asked if there are different quarantine rules for those who've just returned from overseas. Those who've just returned from overseas would have to undergo COVID-19 tests and a mandatory14-day quarantine at approved hotels or government facilities, meanwhile returnees from Sabah who test negative are not required to be quarantined.
Dr Noor Hisham proceeded to use Kedah as an example, and questioned if all returnees from Kedah who've tested negative should be quarantined although the red zone was only in Kota Setar. When another Twitter user, @zalifahms, suggested that the government should stop interstate travels because we can't trust self quarantine, Dr Noor Hisham responded with another tweet that's been the talk of the town today.
"How about all stay at Home for awhile again?," Dr Noor Hisham tweeted.
The tweet, which was sent out at 1.37am, has since gone viral, having been retweeted more than 42,500 times.
The tweet also sparked rumours of a possible reimplementation of the MCO, with netizens having mixed emotions: What do you guys think? Should the government reintroduce the MCO?
