A woman got the shock of her life after a man was caught masturbating in front of her as she was praying inside a mosque.
As reported by NST, the incident took place on Thursday (5 March) at around 11:15 AM. At the time, the victim, a 40‑year‑old woman, was performing the Dhuha prayer when a man wearing only a shirt and a towel approached from the other side.

In CCTV footage of the mosque that has since gone viral, the woman can be seen running away after seeing the man, while he is seen exiting through another door. A police report was lodged later that day at 6:29 PM.
District police chief Superintendent Mohd Jumazanzahir Chek Ismail said initial investigations from the mosque’s CCTV footage showed that the man appeared to be in his 30s, with a slim build and fair complexion.
Suspect holds an OKU card
In an update, the suspect, initially believed to be a foreign national, was confirmed to be a local citizen in his 20s.
It is understood that he was arrested at 3:15 AM at Taman Air Biru, Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru by a team from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Segamat District Police Headquarters (IPD).

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is not a resident of the Segamat district. He was also found to hold an OKU card under the learning disability category.
“The suspect was also found to have no criminal record, and his urine test came back negative,” Mohd Jumazanzahir said.
The suspect has been remanded for four days until 9 March to facilitate investigations under Section 377D of the Penal Code.
