Not everybody wants to give you money.

If you ever receive a message from the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) claiming they want to give you some money, just delete it.

EPF said in a statement cited by Bernama that a viral message that's currently going around claiming that employees who worked between 1990 and 2018 are entitled to a RM6,000 incentive is #fakenews.

The message, which is wildly being shared on social media, also contains a link to a website asking members to respond to a survey before they can claim their incentive.

According to EPF, the message did not originate from them, so DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK!

Got it, Mr Trump.
EPF believes that it's an attempt by baddies to phish for members' personal information to do bad things like selling your information to banks so that they could spam you with insurance calls.

So, if you receive a message saying that EPF wants to give you free money, yeah, sorry to burst your bubble, it's not happening.

Any time you have any doubt, you can get in touch with EPF by heading over to the website.
