The Wildlife Conservation Centre in Sungkai, Perak recently welcomed two new additions to their family, and it’s additionally exciting because they’re both endangered species.

According to a report by Malay Mail, the centre welcomed a male gaur and a female pangolin.

News of the birth was announced by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks Peninsular Malaysia (Perhilitan) on their Facebook page.

Double joy

The post said the gaur or Indian bison was born on Nov 8 while the pangolin was born on Nov 9.

The gaur was named Covid and the pangolin has yet to be named.

The births, announced on separate posts, mentioned that continuous observations will be undertaken by the department to ensure both the animals were in optimum conditions.

Great job and congratulations to the whole team at the wildlife conservation centre.
