Things haven't been going so well for former Prasarana chairman Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman this week (but most were brought onto himself).

After being lambasted by social media users and subsequently terminated as non-executive chairman for his handling of the RapidKL train tragedy earlier this week, it looks like Tajuddin has more problems coming his way.

Supposed to be charged

Malay Mail reported that the Pasir Salak MP was detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Thursday (27 May).

According to the report, the MACC is investigating Tajuddin on two charges of abuse of power.

He was reportedly detained the moment he arrived at the MACC headquarters to have his statement recorded.

A source told the news portal that the investigation was linked to a raid on the Prasarana office earlier this year.

Several local news websites also suggested that Tajuddin was supposed to have been charged on Thursday, but the MACC was still waiting for instructions from the Attorney-General's Chambers.

Tajuddin is reportedly out on oral bail.

The MACC is set to charge Tajuddin soon.
Malay Mail reported that the 73-year-old has been accused of interfering with Prasarana’s operations and business dealings previously.

In May, MACC revealed that they have concluded the investigations into the matter and they are now awaiting for the AGC on the next course of action.

MACC chief commisioner, Datuk Seri Azam Baki, said several cases related to abuse of power were found against an individual in Prasarana.

It looks like it's going to be a tough few months for Tajuddin, so please, don't 'probok probok' him unnecessary, OK?
