If it’s raining cats and dogs, the most natural thing to do is to take shelter at the nearest bus stop.

However, we would advice you to not take shelter at this newly built bus stop in Brickfields because, well, it wouldn't make a difference.

That’s because the bus stop’s design made it almost impossible to keep the rain out.

Take a look for yourself:

Cantik tapi tak boleh pakai.
Facebook user Yap Swee Seng wrote in a post that he took the LRT to KL Sentral to take a bus home after work one night.

As it was raining, he quickly walked towards the bus stop across the Public Bank building to take shelter while waiting for the bus.

We could all guess by now what happened after that.

"I wonder whose brilliant idea (it was) to give public transport users a beautiful bus stop that does not provide the basic function of sheltering its users from the rain or the sun.

"Are the interest and welfare of taxpayers even in the mind of our public officials?" Yap asked.

Of course, Malaysian netizens were also quick to call out the impractical design of the bus stop:

Let's just hope that the bus stop is still a work in progress, if not, we might as well just stand in the rain because it doesn't make a difference, right?
