Feeling Extra Hot These Days? Met Dept Says The Scorching Hot Weather Will Last For Another Month
If you've been sweating buckets just sitting at home these days, don't worry; you are not the only one.
The good news is, the hot weather is normal, but the bad news is, we have to bear with it for another month.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department has revealed that the current heat wave we're experiencing right now is normal, Astro Awani reported.
Hot weather to last

It's director, Jailan Simon, told the news portal that the hot weather is due to the southwest monsoon which causes a lack of rain cloud formation.
The lack of rainfall during this period of time is normal, Jailan said, but because of the weak southwest monsoon we experienced in June and July, the level of humidity was extraordinary.
"However, beginning this week, the southwest monsoon has normalised, and the winds blowing from the southwest have caused reduced rainfall in the country and abnormally hot weather," he was quoted by the news portal as saying.
Despite that, Jailan said the Met Dept does not expect the country to face the El Nino or La Nina phenomenons this time around.

"During this period, we will still experience some rainfall, but not much, making the weather dryer compared to June and July.
"This will cause the temperature to rise as high as 36 degree celcius in several locations, such as Pahang and Kelantan," he was further quoted as saying.
For now, try and avoid going out under the hot sun and remember to stay hydrated, OK?
