While a drive-thru wedding may seem relatively harmless and befitting the current times, this wedding had 10,000 guests and was set up in front of the Palace of Justice.
A special stage was set up in front of the Palace of Justice where the newly-weds were seated and waved to the guests who passed-by.https://t.co/2JejjnhTeX #AWANInews

Congratulations to the bride and groom. Is the POJ open for all to have wedding receptions, and as shown in the picture, can the rakyat also wear the mask under the nose? @IsmailSabri60 @KKMPutrajaya pic.twitter.com/Cl8wbtRhjb

When I read it this morning, I thought someone was joking about the drive-thru wedding. Then I read it again earlier for 2nd time from a card or smth on my TL, holy moly it’s real. Lmao! And my reaction on the bs of having it in front of POJ (out of many places?) - gila. Sekian.

Unbelievable! Corrupt politician holds a lavish wedding - where is the accountability here?

Netizens were far from happy at the whole OTT-ness of the event and also at the fact that the minister was allowed to go ahead with the event at the POJ despite having corruption charges against him.
Short-lived celebrations
Celebrations were probably dampened today after the High Court found the former minister guilty of the RM2 million graft charge against him.High Court Justice Mohamed Zaini Mazlan said the prosecution had proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
According to a report by The Edge, Tengku Adnan was found guilty of the charge under Section 165 of the Penal Code.
He was accused of receiving RM2mil in kickbacks from Aset Kayamas Sdn Bhd (AKSB) managing director Tan Sri Chai Kin Kong while he was federal territories minister.
During the proceedings, the former Umno secretary-general, also known as Ku Nan, also famously told the court that the RM2mil given by Chai was like "pocket money” to him.
According to The Star, the court is currently on a short break before mitigation takes place.
Upon conviction, Tengku Adnan could face imprisonment of up to two years or a fine or both.
What do you think the outcome will be?
