It’s undeniable how rapidly the world of technology is evolving, and recently, it seems to have brought something straight out of science fiction into reality.

In what has been described as the “Formula One of the skies,” an event called the Jetson Air Games has just introduced the world’s first-ever flying car races.

According to a report by Daily Mail, footage from the event shows four flying cars going head-to-head in a race through the sky.

During the event, four pilots were seen operating the Jetson One — a personal electric aircraft with a top speed of 102 km/h and a range of up to 32 km.

Jetson stated that this inaugural race serves as a proof of concept for what a competitive format might look like for their futuristic flying machines.

It’s understood that the race took place at Up.Summit in Texas, USA, and marked the first time pilots participated in a four-person formation flight.

“It was a proud moment for our team and a clear signal that Jetson is ready to lead the next chapter in aviation,” said Tomasz Patan, Jetson’s co-founder.

The company has yet to confirm the timing of future races or share further details about the Jetson Air Games.

Despite being a trial run, the race has already sparked global excitement, with fans eager to see more.

“This is what was promised back in the ’80s. We need more of this,” one fan wrote.
