Free KTMB Train Rides to Batu Caves for Thaipusam on February 10 & 11
Following the upcoming Thaipusam celebrations, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will be offering free train rides on February 10th and 11th.
The free train rides will begin at midnight on February 10th and end at 11:59 pm on February 11th. Although commuters won't be charged, they still need to tap their cards at the exit barrier gates.

In a press conference yesterday, Transport Minister Anthony Loke also announced that KTMB will offer 24/7 additional train rides from the 9th to the 12th of February.
In the meantime, not all states in Malaysia observe Thaipusam as a public holiday.
While most states will enjoy a one-day holiday on 11th February this year, seven states will continue to operate as usual.
